Stutzpunkt Schlieffen
Between June 1940 and March 1942 a army coastal batterie was located here, the batterie consists six openemplacements equiped with
6 french 15.5cm guns. When the guns were moved to the coast in March 1942 the location is rebuild into a fieldbatterie to fire on the
beaches in case of a invasion. The four guns were placed in bunkers of type 611. The command was given from a type 610. Two and a half bunker
of the type 611 remain and the type 610 is also still there. The batterie is today part of a kind of Museum and the bunkers can be visited in a
guided tour. This was not possible during my visit, so only pictures from the outside for this moment.
