Airport Bergen




Airport Bergen is constructed in 1939. During World War 2 it is used by the Germans. In june 1944 the Germans left the airportt. This due to the fact that it was to close to the coastline and the fear for a invassion. After the war the airport is not used anymore for airplanes, but a part of the dutch Army is still present on the location. The Germans build a lot of bunkers around the airport and to protect the airspace and te area around the airport . Also a lot of crewbunkers are build. None of the bunkers was bomproof (Standig).
