The on this location builded commandbunker of the Marine Artillerie Bataljon 244 of the Kriegsmarine, give fireinstructions to following batteries: Waldam, Oldenburg,Bastion II, Fort Lapin, Sangatte and Lindemann. It also had the function of measurepost for the batteries Todt en Grosser Kurfurst. This part of the beach and the batterie were defended by 2 bunkers of type 612, a few mg shleters and 2 gunbunkers of type M 176 from MKB Fort Lapin, which is located next to W.N Otter.
