Utrecht












As from 1943 the command of the German 'Kriegsmarine" was placed in Utrecht. The Germans build some big en rare bunkertypes here. Most of the bunkers are demolished. On the Sint Janskerkhof remains a half part of the SK commandbunker, the bunker can not be visited. Today remains a type 668 (Kleinstand fur 6 Mann) and a type V 149 (Befehlstand fur den Fuhrer der Schnellboote) and a few VF bunkers. The V 149 is together with the bunker in Scheveningen the only one remaining in the Netherlands. The bunker is after the war used by the BB (Bescherming Bevolking) during the cold war. Not much of the orinal bunker remains. There are rumours that the bunker will be demolished to due a new road.
